First Case Of COVID-19 Positive Has Been Reported In Agra

Agra/Hyderabad, Dec 25 (Maxim News): A 40-year-old man who came to our country from China on Friday has tested positive for Covid-19. His sample was sent to Lucknow for genome sequencing to find out about this variant. This is the first time that a positive case of Covid has been reported in Agra since November 25. These details were disclosed by the Chief Medical Officer of Agra Dr. AK Srivastava today.

It is said that a person working in China came to Agra in Uttar Pradesh on Friday. He said he had no symptoms. He is said to have been kept in isolation at his house in the Shahganj area. It is said that this is the first Covid positive case reported in the city. This is also the only active case in the city.

Agra health department officials said that they have contacted people who came from China along with these persons. He said that they have been asked to undergo covid tests. In accordance with the guidelines given by the Central government to the states, testing has been increased at Agra Railway Station and bus stands. Agra’s hotels are packed in the wake of the New Year celebrations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya conducted a high-level review as Colvid cases are increasing in China and other countries. People are asked to be vigilant. Visitors to the Taj Mahal are being screened by Agra Health officials. (Maxim News)
