Five Khammam Women Corporators Quit BRS, Join Congress
Hyderabad, Jan. 5 (Maxim News): The Bharat Rashtra Samithi suffered another setback on Monday as five women corporators from Khammam district resigned from the party and joined the Congress.
The corporators formally joined the Congress in the presence of Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Mahesh Kumar Goud welcomed them by draping party scarves.

The resignations add to the growing internal challenges faced by the BRS leadership amid recent political developments.
Five corporators switch allegiance in Khammam
The leaders who joined the Congress are Chimumamilla Lakshmi from Division 12, Golla Chandrakala from Division 25, Donovan Saraswathi from Division 32, Dade Amruthamma from Division 40, and Motharapu Sravani from Division 55.
Speaking on the occasion, the corporators said they were impressed by the leadership of Tummala Nageswara Rao and the governance approach of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
They stated that they joined the Congress to support efforts aimed at placing Khammam city on a path of sustained development under the present administration.
