FM Nirmala Sitharaman To Present Union Budget On Feb 1

Delhi/Hyderabad, Jan 31 (Maxim News): Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2026-27 on February 1 (Sunday). This will be her ninth consecutive budget speech this year. This is an important milestone in India’s parliamentary and economic history. This ceremony is a ritual. The Halwa ceremony marks the beginning of the budget lock-in period. The North Block houses the printing press that was traditionally used to print budget documents for 40 years from 1980 to 2020.
