FM Saleem and Khaja Ather Moin Honoured with Sitara-e-Sahafat at MANUU
Hyderabad, Nov. 11: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) honoured FM Saleem, Bureau Chief of Daily Hindi Milap, and Khaja Ather Moin, Executive Editor of The Munsif Urdu Daily, with the Sitara-e-Sahafat award during the Azad Day Celebrations 2025.
The honour recognised their exceptional contributions to Urdu journalism and their efforts in promoting the Urdu language and culture.
FM Saleem and Khaja Ather Moin Receive Sitara-e-Sahafat at MANUU
The awards were presented during the prestigious Azad Memorial Lecture organised to mark the birth anniversary of India’s first Education Minister, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
The event was chaired by MANUU Vice-Chancellor Professor Syed Ainul Hasan. Registrar Professor Ishtiyaq Ahmed and Professor Syed Aleem Ashraf Jaaisi, Chairperson of the Azad Day Celebrations, were among the dignitaries in attendance.
University officials praised FM Saleem for advancing educational and linguistic awareness through his journalism.
Ather Moin was commended for his significant role in promoting Urdu language and culture, and for raising awareness of civic and religious issues.
The University noted that both journalists have shown long-standing commitment to Urdu media, contributing to the preservation and promotion of linguistic and cultural values. (Maxim News)
