Hyderabad, Nov.10 (Maxim News): Four persons died on the spot and a few others suffered grievous injured in a wall collapse incident at Golnaka in Amberpet area here on Sunday afternoon. The victims were identified as Sohail, 30, Krishna, 40, Vijayalakshmi, 60, and Suresh, 35. The injured were rushed to the Osmania General Hospital.
The tragedy occurred when the wall of a function hall near Pearl Garden, Golnaka crossroads came crumbling down. Some vehicles, including two autos and bikes that were parked along the wall were also damaged.
The Disaster Response Force (DRF) teams of the GHMC rushed to the spot and rescued the injured from the debris. Police teams also rushed to the spot. GHMC Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin visited the victims and consoled them. He said the kin of the victims would be paid Rs 2 lakh each under Apathbandhu scheme. He also said he would take up the matter to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Municipal Administration Minister K Tarakarama Rao to help the kin of the diseased and injured. (Maxim News)
