The incident has triggered outrage, with police officials confirming that the victim was attacked after seeking a lift from the accused.
According to the report, the victim, a resident of Kalyanapuri in Uppal, had gone to visit his brother in Jillelaguda, Saroornagar, on Sunday night. On his way back near LB Nagar, he requested a lift from four youths traveling in a car. The youths were identified as Mohd Junaid alias Jaffer (18) from Raghavendra Nagar, Sheikh Saifuddin (18) from Indiranagar, P Manikanth (21) from Karthikeya Nagar, and a minor from KL Reddy Nagar in Mallapur. After offering him a lift toward the Uppal Ring Road, the suspects reportedly began to sexually harass and assault the victim inside the moving vehicle. When the car slowed down near the NGRI area, he attempted to flee but failed. Later, around 3 am on Monday, the attackers took him to an isolated industrial area in Nacharam. There, they stabbed him several times and left him bleeding before fleeing, thinking he was dead.
Despite being fatally wounded, the victim managed to move a short distance before collapsing on the roadside. Locals found him around 5:30 am and alerted the police. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he reportedly gave a statement revealing his kidnapping and assault before dying from his injuries. Based on his dying declaration and the help of CCTV footage, Nacharam police traced the vehicle and arrested the suspects involved.
Investigations are ongoing, and the case has been registered under charges of abduction, sexual assault, and murder. The police are verifying additional details to determine if more individuals were involved.
