Free Cabs | Hyderabad, Dec 31 (Maxim News): In view of rising cases of drunk driving, TGFWDA and TGPWU have started a campaign #HumAapkaSaathHai. People can call 9177624678.

TGFWDA and TGPWU have started a campaign to provide free cab services to those who are attending a party tonight to celebrate the New Year 2023 and intend to drink and after drinking finds to go home, on December 31 from 10 pm to 1 am in the city limits of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda Commissionerates limits.

State President of TGFWDA and TGPWU Sheikh Salauddin said “We have been working on this initiative since 2017. Several people have contacted us to request cab services following celebrations.

Many people drive to the place and then contact us after the deliberation. They tend to leave their vehicle and then collect it later.

He said, “We recognise how harmful drunk driving is, it is also pertinent to note that many people may find it difficult to book a cab when inebriated, he warned. This campaign has been initiated by organisations to combat drunk driving on New Year’s Eve.

The “Hum Aapke Saath hai” campaign was launched to urge the citizens of Hyderabad to enjoy the Christmas season properly.

he said last year, around 2,498 people were arrested for drunk driving as part of a special drive conducted throughout the three commissionerate areas of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda.

Around 1265 cases were booked under Hyderabad Commissionerate, 873 under the Cyberabad Commissionerate, and 360 under the Rachakonda Commissionerate. (Maxim News)
