Free Chicken and Egg Mela Draws Massive Crowds in Hyderabad Amid Bird Flu Fears

Hyderabad, Feb 22 (Maxim News): In an effort to clear misconceptions about eating chicken and eggs, Vencobb Chicken and the National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC) organized a Chicken and Egg Mela across various parts of the city on Friday. The event saw large crowds gather to enjoy free dishes made with chicken and eggs.

Organizers assured attendees that consuming properly cooked chicken and eggs is completely safe. They explained that any bacteria or viruses present are destroyed when food is cooked at temperatures above 70°C, while most Indian cooking typically reaches 100°C—making it safe to consume.

The event drew hundreds of enthusiastic visitors who enjoyed the freshly prepared dishes. Organizers also highlighted the nutritional benefits of chicken and eggs, emphasizing that they are affordable, high-protein foods that contribute to a healthy diet.
