Free Sewing Machine | Hyderabad, August 25: Women seeking self employment can apply for a free sewing machine under Telangana’s Indiramma Sewing Machine Scheme before the September 15 deadline.
The Telangana government launched the Intintiki Indiramma Kuttu Machine Pathakam to create livelihood opportunities for poor women. The Telangana BC Finance Corporation is implementing the scheme under the BC Welfare Department.
Eligible beneficiaries can use the sewing machine to start or expand tailoring work. The initiative aims to help women build a source of income through self employment.
Women aged 18 to 55 years can apply. However, they must also meet the prescribed annual income criteria.
The income limit stands at ₹1.50 lakh for rural applicants. For urban applicants, the annual income limit is ₹2 lakh.
Free sewing machine scheme: Who can apply?
Applicants must submit several documents during the application process. These include an Aadhaar card, ration card or income certificate, and caste certificate.
Eligible applicants must apply online through the TGOBMMS portal. The last date to submit applications is September 15, 2026.
Applicants should enter their details carefully and ensure that the information matches their official documents. They should also keep the application details safely after submission.
The scheme comes under the BC Welfare Department and targets eligible women who meet the prescribed conditions. The government expects the initiative to support women who want to pursue tailoring as a livelihood.
Applicants who need clarification can approach their concerned District BC Welfare Officer or BC Corporation office. Officials can provide information about eligibility, documents and the application process.
