Telangana Weather: Rain Forecast for Next Three Days

Hyderabad, Sept. 16 (Maxim News): Weather conditions are becoming favourable for the southwest monsoon to withdraw from parts of west Rajasthan by September 19, 2026.

The monsoon trough at sea level is extending from a low-pressure area over Saurashtra and the adjoining northeast Arabian Sea through Deesa, Jaipur, Agra, Lucknow, Gaya and Sagar Island towards the northeast Bay of Bengal.

A cyclonic circulation over north Thailand was observed at 8:30 am on September 16. The system extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level and is likely to move over the north Andaman Sea by the evening of September 18.

Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the north Andaman Sea and adjoining areas by the evening of September 19.

The system is expected to strengthen gradually and move west-northwestwards during the following three to four days.

It may subsequently move towards the south Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh coasts.

A cyclonic circulation over south Coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas is also continuing at an altitude of 1.5 km above mean sea level.

Telangana Weather Forecast for Next Three Days

The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre said light to moderate rain is likely at isolated places across Telangana on September 16.

Some districts may receive light to moderate rainfall at a few places on September 17 and 18.

The weather department has also warned of thunderstorms accompanied by rain and gusty winds. Winds may reach speeds of 30 to 40 kmph at some places during the next three days.

People have been advised to remain cautious as strong winds are possible during rainfall.

The weather department has particularly advised people to stay away from electricity poles and hoardings during rain.

The state is expected to receive widespread rainfall over the next three days.

Several parts of Telangana are already witnessing rainfall.

According to the supplied weather information, rainfall had remained deficient until recently amid the reported influence of El Niño conditions. Farmers had faced difficulties due to the lack of rain.

The return of rainfall has brought some relief to farmers.

Telangana has recorded lower rainfall compared with the corresponding period last year, while the reported El Niño influence contributed to deficient rainfall conditions.(Maxim News)
