Hyderabad, July 3 (Maxim News): A refrigerator explosion triggered a massive fire in a house located in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Sanath Nagar, early Wednesday morning, reducing the entire property to ashes. Fortunately, no one was inside the house at the time of the incident, averting a major tragedy.
Early Morning Blast Destroys Home
The fire occurred at the residence of Satyanarayana, where an explosion in the refrigerator sparked a fast-spreading blaze. By the time fire and emergency services arrived, the house was already engulfed in flames, and all belongings were destroyed.
Swift Response from HYDRA and DRF
Upon receiving alerts from concerned neighbors, personnel from HYDRA (Hyderabad Disaster Response and Fire Services) and Disaster Response Force (DRF) rushed to the location. They managed to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading to nearby houses.
Sanath Nagar police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities are examining whether a short circuit or gas leak could have triggered the fridge explosion. Forensic teams may also be involved in determining the exact cause of the blast.
MLA Talasani Visits Site, Offers Support
Local MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav visited the affected family to express his condolences and assess the damage. He announced financial assistance of ₹50,000 and assured that the government would stand by the victims in this difficult time.
“We are thankful no lives were lost. The family has suffered immense material loss, and we will do our best to help them recover,” said the MLA.
