Hyderabad, Sept. 23: Gachibowli police arrested a security guard for allegedly pulling aside and forcibly kissing a 24-year-old software engineer while she was boarding a cab in Indira Nagar.
The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday night when the woman was leaving work and waiting for a cab.
According to her complaint, the security guard suddenly approached her, pulled her aside and allegedly kissed her without her consent.
The woman raised an alarm following the incident, prompting the accused to flee from the spot.
Gachibowli police registered a case after receiving her complaint and examined CCTV footage from the area.
The footage helped police identify the suspect as Rajkumar, a security guard from Jharkhand. Police subsequently arrested him.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and the accused’s movements before and after the alleged offence.
The incident occurred in Indira Nagar, an area with a large number of IT employees. The case has also raised concerns among women working in the locality about safety while commuting after work hours.
Police are continuing their investigation based on the woman’s complaint and available CCTV footage.
