Gajwel bandh | Hyderabad, April 6: The Gajwel bandh called by BRS to protest the alleged attack on an MLA camp office continued intensely since morning. Party workers staged protests across the constituency, leading to tense conditions.
BRS leaders and workers gathered in large numbers under the leadership of Gajwel constituency incharge Vanteru Prathap Reddy. They staged a sit in protest in front of the Gajwel Pragnyapur bus depot.
Protesters blocked buses from leaving the depot since early morning. As a result, passengers faced severe inconvenience. BRS workers also raised slogans against the government and the police during the protest.

BRS strongly condemned the alleged attack by Congress workers on the MLA camp office. Vanteru Prathap Reddy alleged a political conspiracy behind the incident. He said attacks on opposition offices go against democratic values.
He demanded that police identify the accused quickly and take strict action. Meanwhile, markets, business complexes, and educational institutions in Gajwel town remained closed following the bandh call.
Police deployed heavy security across the town to prevent untoward incidents. In addition, picketing was arranged at key junctions as a precautionary step.
