Ganesh Immersion Continue at Hussain Sagar on Day 2 in Hyderabad

Ganesh Immersion | Hyderabad, September 18: The second day of Ganesh’s immersion at Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad witnessed a steady stream of devotees bringing their idols for immersion.

Hundreds of Ganesha idols lined up at NTR Marg, People’s Plaza, and Tank Bund from midnight onwards, with the immersions expected to conclude by noon on Wednesday.

To ensure the area remains clean and hygienic, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) deployed 5,000 sanitation workers to clean up around Hussain Sagar.

As of now, over 1.35 lakh Ganesha idols have been immersed.

The IDL pond in Moosapet saw the highest number of immersions with 26,546 idols. Other popular immersion sites included Tank Bund NTR Marg (4,730 idols), Necklace Road (2,360 idols), and People’s Plaza (5,500 idols).

Additionally, 6,221 Vinayaka idols were immersed in Alwal Kothacheruvu. In total, immersions are taking place at 71 locations across Hyderabad.

GHMC Commissioner Amrapali stated that the corporation is committed to providing a comfortable experience for citizens during the celebrations and has taken measures to ensure that garbage is removed efficiently, minimizing any inconvenience to the public.

To cater to the needs of devotees, Annapurna Centers have been established at Necklace Road and People’s Plaza, offering food and refreshments.
