Hyderabad, March 30 (Maxim News): GHMC Commissioner R. V. Karnan conducted a field inspection of the ongoing KBR Park package flyover works on March 30, 2026.
The inspection took place near Park Hyatt Hyderabad at Road No 2 in Banjara Hills.
Chief Engineer Sahadev Ratnakar joined the inspection. Officials reviewed construction progress and traffic management arrangements.
Engineers briefed the Commissioner on the current status of foundation works.
Officials said excavation work for all six pier foundations has been completed. They also confirmed completion of Plain Cement Concrete bed works for three piers.
Moreover, they said steel fabrication for raft foundations will begin on Tuesday.
The Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the progress. He noted that the agency maintained traffic flow during construction. Therefore, he asked officials to continue similar coordination during future stages.
Commissioner directs faster execution of flyover project
R V Karnan directed the executing agency to speed up the project. He asked the contractor to deploy more machinery. He also asked them to increase manpower.
According to officials, this will help meet construction timelines.
The executing agency, Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited, is handling the project.
The Commissioner instructed the firm to maintain quality standards. He also stressed safety compliance at the work site.
Engineering officials also attended the inspection. The Executive Engineer for Projects participated in the review. The Deputy Executive Engineer and Assistant Executive Engineer also joined the visit. Representatives of the construction agency were present.

Officials said the KBR Park flyover forms part of the city’s traffic improvement plans. The project aims to ease congestion in Banjara Hills. It also aims to improve connectivity on key routes.
The Commissioner asked officers to ensure regular monitoring. He also instructed them to resolve bottlenecks quickly.
Furthermore, he asked teams to maintain safety precautions for commuters and workers.
GHMC officials said the flyover will improve traffic movement after completion.
They added that faster execution remains a priority. According to the civic body, such infrastructure projects support urban mobility improvements.
