GHMC Commr Asks Officials to Issue Warrants to Top Property Tax Defaulters

Hyderabad, Feb.22: GHMC commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, has directed all the Zonal and Deputy Commissioners to issue warrants to the top defaulters of property tax.

The commissioner directed the officials to ensure cent percent Property Tax collection assigned targets to them, and said the penalty waiver orders will not be issued by the Government this year. In this context, the Commissioner appealed all the property tax payers to pay their property tax immediately so as to serve the citizens with better more facilities.

During the meeting held with all the senior officials of the Revenue wings of GHMC at FAPPCI, Red Hills today, the Commissioner said that the online self assessment scheme which has been introduced is getting good response. The Commissioner directed all the ZC, DCs to coordinate with all the residential welfare associations, colony residents to create awareness to know the login procedures in the website so that every citizen can utilize the online services by sitting at their places without any inconvenience.

The Commissioner congratulated Jayaraj Kennedy, Additional Commissioner (IT & Finance) and the entire wing for the efforts made to implement online property tax system. The Commissioner personally interacted with all the DCs, Valuation Officers, AMCs, AMOHS, about the property tax collection process and instructed them to take much more responsibility to reach their targets in a phased manner, also to regularly conduct Property Tax Parishkarams and give more importance to the grievances received in various modes not only pertaining to property tax but all various civic related issues to sort out them on priority.

The Commissioner instructed all the officials to continue the Swachh Survekshan works duly coordinating as being done earlier with all RWAs, SHGs, SLF, TLF and ensure that 100% segregation, checking of attendance of auto trolley drivers and to provide them with incentives through sponsorship who attend regularly to their duties as a token of encouragement.

Raghunandan Rao, Collector, Ranga Reddy District has also participated in the meeting and requested the Deputy Commissioners of Ranga Reddy District to identify some of the places for Urban Health Posts in 24 wards of Ranga Reddy District to enhance the present Urban Health Posts 3 to that of 18 for the convenience of the citizens and also to identify the places for buildings even on hire to take up the task on priority.

The Commissioner has presented an LED Tube light to Raghunandan Rao, Collector, Ranga Reddy District as a compliment to save energy scheme. Later on the senior officials along with the Commissioner had a lunch of Rs.5/- food scheme at the venue today.
