GOC, TASA AND MP, Rajampet visits Sainik school kalikiri

Major General N Sreenivas Rao, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Telangana & Andhra Sub Area (TASA) visited Sainik School Kalikiri, 74 Kms from Tirupati to chair the 7thLocal Board of Administration meeting (LBA) on Thursday. The General Officer is also the Chairman of the School. The Co-chairman, Shri PV Midhun Reddy, Hon’ble Member of Parliament and member of LBA also graced the meeting. The Chairman and Co-chairman were extended a warm welcome by Principal, Captain (IN) Simon Xavier, member secretary of the board. On arrival of the Chairman, a Guard of Honour was presented by the cadets at the school.

The General Officer appreciated the efforts of the school and complimented for instilling leadership traits in the young minds right from school level. In his briefing to the LBA, the Principal enlightened the board about the various achievements and activities of the school. The members of the board were apprised on the utilisation of the financial grant and the projects that are under progress. The Co-chairman encouraged all the staff for bringing out holistic development among the cadets giving utmost care to the health, diet and sanitation of the cadets.

The Chairman emphasised that the children have to be future leaders of our nation and certain qualities which need to be ingrained in them area impeccable character, Values & Ethics, Communication Skills, Confidence and Knowledge (as scholar warriors). He impressed upon the School Administration to focus on Infrastructure Development, Manpower Saving Devices and Transparency and probity in fund management. The Chairman exhorted the cadets to brave all the adversities and to adapt themselves to the intensive training to make optimum use of the learning facilities available. He appreciated the commitment and dedication of all staff to enhance the quality of education. On this occasion the Chairman and the Co-chairman planted a sapling as a step towards the call for clean and green environment.
