Godavari Rising At Bhadrachalam, Second Danger Alert Issued

Kothagudem/Hyderabad, Sept 11 (Maxim News): The Godavari river is overflowing with the rains. In this order, the flood level of Godavari at Bhadrachalam is gradually increasing. The water level which reached 48 feet on September 10 evening, reached 50.6 feet today morning.

At present, the second danger alert continues at Bhadrachalam, the Godavari flood water has reached the bathing ghats of the river Godavari, Kesha Khandan area, Subrahmanya Swamy Anjaneya Swamy temple.

A third flood warning will be issued if the flood level touches the 53-foot mark. The authorities have been alerted due to the gradual rise in the level of Godavari at Bhadrachalam. The people of the lowland villages in the Godavari catchment area have been alerted. District Collector Jitesh V Patil directed the officials to make immediate arrangements to move the people of the low-lying areas to the rehabilitation centers if the flood surges further.  (Maxim News)
