Goshamahal Form 7 Row | Hyderabad, Oct. 6 (Maxim News): AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi has alleged a deliberate attempt to remove Muslim voters from electoral rolls in the Goshamahal Assembly constituency through fraudulent Form 7 applications.
Owaisi said pre-printed applications were submitted seeking the deletion of 122 voters from Booth No. 28 in Goshamahal.
He alleged that all the names belonged to Muslim electors who had appeared on voter lists for years, including the 2002 rolls.
The AIMIM leader cited the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer’s October 5 memo, which directed election officials to act against applicants who knowingly submit false declarations in voter registration forms.
The directive calls for an inquiry under Rule 20 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, before action under Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.

Owaisi alleged that the applications listed Tudu Murty Janardhan as the applicant and included a phone number.
He claimed the individual was a BJP supporter. These allegations have not been independently established.
Goshamahal Form 7 Row | Asaduddin Owaisi Seeks Action Over Form 7 Applications
Owaisi cited the case of Mirza Farooq Baig, an 85-year-old resident whose name was among those listed for deletion.
He said Baig had lived in the area for decades and appeared on earlier and current draft electoral rolls.
The AIMIM chief described the applications as baseless and demanded legal action against those responsible.
He also praised the booth-level officer (BLO) who, according to him, refused to accept the forms, and the party’s booth-level agent who secured the documents.
The controversy comes amid reports of bulk Form 7 applications in Goshamahal and other Hyderabad constituencies during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Form 7 allows objections to an entry or requests for deletion from the voter list.
The Telangana CEO has directed officials to scrutinise such applications and act against knowingly false declarations.
Reports indicate that disputed forms in Goshamahal and Musheerabad were rejected after officials found procedural deficiencies or determined that the electors were still residing at the listed addresses.
