At present it is like the heart of the Hyderabad Police Department. Since the time of United Andhra Pradesh, it has been customary to hold a parade here in the morning as a mark of respect to whoever takes charge as the new DGP CPL was also used as a reserve force for Hyderabad just as there were reserve forces for the districts.
The police quarters here are dilapidated. Not in a usable condition. At present Rachakonda Police Transport Organization and Hyderabad East Mandal Office are working here. It has already been decided to shift everything except the DCP’s office to the Police Training College in Medchal. the rest of the offices will also be changed. It is expected that huge revenue will be generated by giving all this land to private companies for development. it seems that the government’s idea is to use all that money for the revival of Musi.
