Grand Celebration for the 357th Prakash Purab in Hyderabad
357th Prakash Purab | Hyderabad, January 18 (Maxim News): The global Sikh community is gearing up for the monumental celebration of the 357th Prakash Purab, or Holy Birthday, of Sri Guru Gobind Singhji, the revered tenth Sikh Guru and the founder of the Khalsa Panth.
Organized by the Prabhandak Committee Gurdwara Saheb Secunderabad, a grand “Vishaal Deewan” (Mass Congregation) is set to take place at Classic Garden, Balamrai, Secunderabad, from 10 am to 3 pm on January 21, 2024 (Sunday).
GSS Prabhandak Committee, led by President S. Baldev Singh Bagga, General Secretary S. Jagmohan Singh, and Secretary S. Harpreet Singh Gulati, announced that the Mass Congregation at Classic Garden will draw hundreds of Sikh devotees and individuals from various faith communities.

The event will be highlighted by the recitation of Gurbani Kirtans (Holy Hymns) and Gurbani Vichar by renowned Ragi Jathas (religious preachers) specially invited from different parts of the country.
Esteemed Ragi Jathas such as Bhai Amarjeet Singh (Patiala), Bhai Mehatab Singh (Jalandhar), Bhai Jagdev Singh, Bhai Charanjeet Singh, and others will present shabad keertans, shedding light on the teachings of Sikh Gurus.
Following the congregation, a Guru Ka Langar (free community kitchen) will be served to the devotees, symbolizing the spirit of selfless service and community welfare that Guru Gobind Singhji exemplified in his life.
As a precursor to the main event, a Night Kirtan Darbar is scheduled at Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad on January 20, 2024, from 7 pm to 10 pm. During this special night, the aforementioned renowned Ragi Jathas will enthrall the audience with shabad kirtans and kathas, followed by the serving of Guru ka Langar.
The celebration of Sri Guru Gobind Singhji’s 357th Prakash Purab promises to be a spiritually enriching and inclusive event, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to honor the teachings and sacrifices of the revered Sikh Guru.
