Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi along with Commissioner Ronald Rose unfurled the national flag at Telangana Awatarana Day on Sunday.

Speaking on this occasion, the Mayor said that, keeping in mind the needs of the people in GHMC, everyone should participate in the development of the city and work with dedication with collective effort.

He wished the people of the city, officials, public representatives, and the people of the city on the occasion of Telangana’s Incarnation Day. The mayor paid tribute to all those who fought and sacrificed their lives in the Telangana movement during the ceremony.

He said that the state was formed on June 2, 2014, as a result of people from all walks of life-fighting for the formation of Telangana state.

The welfare and development programs being implemented in GHMC have not been explained as the code is in the background of Parliament elections.
