Guv Sought Report On The Suicides In IIIT Basara

Hyderabad, June 16 (Maxim News): Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has become serious about the deaths of the students in IIIT Basara. The Governor directed the Vice Chancellor to give a report within 48 hours.

The series of deaths of students in Basara IIIT in Nirmal district is causing a stir. Two days ago, a student named Deepkika committed suicide by hanging herself from the bathroom windown in the University. Another students are also studying in the first year of Pre-university Course (PUC) Lakhita (17) from Gajwel of Siddipet district fell from the fourth floor of the hostel building around 2 0’clock on Wednesday.

The IIIT staff noticed her and immediately shifted her to the campus hospital and then to Bhainsa. As the condition was serious, she was taken to the government hospital. Lakhita already died. She suffered severe injuries to her after falling from the top of the building. However, the reasons for Lakhita’s death are not clear. Vice Chancellor Venkataramana declared that she accidentally fell from the side wall of the building while watching You tube and the student did not commit suicide. On the other hand, the varsity authorities say that she went up and down in the building due to fear of the dogs chasing her.

Parents of Lakshi complained to the police that Lakhita fell down accidentally, there is criticism that they filed such a complaint under the pressure of the varsity authorities. On the other hand, students are in panic due to the series of deaths in Triple IT. (Maxim News)
