Guv Stresses Need To Protect Constitutional Values
Hyderabad, Nov.26 (Maxim News): Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan today stressed the need for protecting constitutional values of equality, liberty and freedom to speak and express.
To mark the 70th anniversary of India’s Constitution, the Governor addressed a gathering at the Raj Bhavan here today. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, cabinet ministers, Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Council chairman G Sukhender Reddy and other officials were present. On the occasion, the Governor showered praises on Dr B R Ambedkar, architect of the Indian Constitution for uplift for poor, lower classes and all-round development. She also said the government has to dedicate to the constitutional spirit to achieve inclusive growth.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said the governments at Centre and States have to do more for the people and society. “So far, we have done a little and have to do much more with commitment to people’s aspirations in future for welfare and development”, he said. KCR extended thanks to the Governor for the program to follow Ambedkar ideology to develop in all sectors.
