Hyderabad, April 28 (Maxim News): BRS senior leader and former minister Harish Rao visited party social media convener Manne Krishank at Sangareddy Central Jail on Tuesday.
Krishank is in judicial remand along with seven other party workers.
After the meeting, Harish Rao strongly criticized the Congress government, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and the police. He alleged that the government was misusing cases and investigations to silence opposition voices.
Harish Rao said Krishank had filed a complaint with evidence against those posting fake content against BRS leaders. However, he alleged that police arrested the complainant instead of taking action against those responsible.
Harish Rao Targets Congress Government
He called the arrest an act of political vendetta. He also questioned the filing of non-bailable cases against Krishank.
Harish Rao accused the state government of ignoring public issues while targeting opposition leaders. He said farmers were waiting at procurement centers, but the government was failing to address their concerns.
He alleged that maize farmers were facing new purchase restrictions and paddy procurement centers had not started operations in many areas.
The BRS leader also demanded clarity from the government on bonus payments for fine variety paddy farmers during the Yasangi season.
Harish Rao further accused the administration of focusing on luxury projects instead of welfare. He claimed the Chief Minister was busy building expensive official residences while farmers suffered in the heat.
He also made allegations of illegal surveillance on BRS leaders. He claimed private hackers were being used to monitor phones and CCTV systems of opposition leaders. No official response was immediately available on these claims.
Harish Rao warned officials against acting outside the law and said accountability would follow in the future.
He demanded immediate withdrawal of cases filed against Krishank and other BRS workers. He also warned against further legal action through PT warrants.
The Congress government has not yet responded to the remarks made by Harish Rao. The developments have added fresh political tension between the ruling Congress and opposition BRS in Telangana. (Maxim News)
