Heavy Flood Water In Krishna River, Jurala To Srisailam Gates Open
Hyderabad, June 21 (Maxim News): Due to heavy rains in the upper reaches of the Krishna River and high water release from the Alamatti dam, a large amount of water is reaching the Priyadarshini Jurala. There is an inflow of 85,000 cusecs. With this, 7 gates were lifted on Saturday, and 82,250 cusecs of water were released. The full water level of 318.516 meters is currently 317.570 meters. 7,773 TMC of water is in the project.
Srisailam reservoir is also receiving heavy flood inflow. While 81,944 cusecs of inflow, the gates have not been lifted yet. The water level is currently 851.40 feet, about the full water level of 885 feet. Power generation has not started in the right and left hydroelectric power stations. (Maxim News)
