Hyderabad, May 4 (Maxim News): Rain has brought relief to the people of Telugu states who are suffering from the scorching sun. Heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds lashed many parts of AP and Telangana on Sunday. While Tirupati in AP received no rain, Konaseema district received heavy rain. Meanwhile, areas like Nalgonda, Suryapet, Kodad, and Miryalaguda in Telangana received torrential rain. Trees were uprooted due to the strong winds in Huzurnagar.
People who were suffering from the intense heat till now breathed a sigh of relief as the weather suddenly cooled down. On the other hand, due to these untimely rains, the food grains are in great distress. Especially in areas like Siddipet, the grain stored for purchase at IKP centers has been soaked in rainwater. Farmers are worried because the crops that are in the harvesting stage, as well as the dried grain, have been soaked. On the other hand, although the common people have got relief from the heat, the untimely rain has caused a huge blow to the farmers. The farmers want the government to respond immediately and help those who have lost their crops. (Maxim News)
