Areas receiving showers include Miyapur, Chandanagar, Lingampally, Gachibowli, Madhapur, Kondapur, Rayadurgam, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Sanathnagar, Erragadda, Ameerpet, Panjagutta, Borabanda, Yusufguda, Dundigal, Gandimaisamma, Bahadurpally, Kompally, Jeedimetla, Balanagar, Secunderabad, Alwal, Patni, Paradise, Nampally, Basheer Bagh, Himayat Nagar, Tank Bund, Saidabad, Santosh Nagar, Langar Houz, Mehdipatnam, Charminar, Falaknuma, Barkas, Tolichowki and several other localities.

Due to the continuous showers, vehicles are moving at a snail’s pace in many areas, and commuters are facing severe inconvenience.

In view of the situation, schools under GHMC limits have been directed to function only for half-day on Wednesday and Thursday. Students will be sent home in the afternoon.

Additionally, Special Chief Secretary of IT Department, Jayesh Ranjan, has issued instructions for IT employees and other staff to work from home on Wednesday to avoid traffic hassles.
