Hyderabad, Sept. 24: Several flights in Andhra Pradesh were diverted as heavy rains and adverse weather affected flight operations.
An IndiGo flight travelling from Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada was diverted to Shamshabad Airport in Hyderabad. A Star Air flight bound for Rajamahendravaram was also diverted to Bengaluru.
Some other flights were cancelled because of the unfavourable weather conditions. The disruptions affected passengers travelling to and from airports in the state.
Airline and airport operations can change quickly during periods of heavy rain. Therefore, passengers have been advised to check their flight status before leaving for the airport.
Heavy Rains Disrupt Andhra Pradesh Flights
The diversion of the IndiGo flight moved the Vijayawada bound service from its scheduled destination to Hyderabad. Similarly, the Star Air service for Rajamahendravaram diverted to Bengaluru.
