Hyderabad: Adulterated Milk Supplier Arrested
Bibinagar/Hyderabad, Jan 12 (Maxim News): Police arrested a milk trader who was playing with people’s lives as everyone thinks that milk is very good for health, but the police have arrested a person who was collecting such milk and adding harmful chemicals to keep it for a long time and supplying it to many sweets shops in the vicinity of Hyderabad. The incident took place in Bibinagar Mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.
According to District Zonal Assistant Food controller Jyotirmayi, the district Food Safety officers checked the milk vehicles plying on the Hyderabad-Warangal national Highway at Gudur toll Plaza of Bibinagar Mandal on Wednesday morning after receiving reliable information that adulterated milk was being transported. The milk samples are collected and tested in a mobile testing food laboratory from time to time.
It was confirmed that dangerous chemicals were being added to the milk, they were detained and a case was registered and an investigation was carried out. When he went there, he came to know that a man named Kumar Yadav from the village was doing milk business for 20 years. He collects milk from dairy farmers in the village and surrounding areas and mixes it with chemicals and supplies it in cans to candy shops in the suburbs of Hyderabad every day.
However, the officials found that the formalin hyde sucrose and ammonium sulfate chemicals used to preserve the dead bodies were added to the milk so that it does not decompose. The chemicals were seized, the milk center was seized and he was handed over to the local police. (Maxim News)
