Hyderabad CP CV Anand Review The Security Arrangement Ahead Of Election And Religious Events

Hyderabad, Sept 5 (Maxim News):  In view of the upcoming elections and religious events, City Police Commissioner CV Anand undertook a comprehensive assessment of security preparations and deployment readiness within the City Security Wing and other Central Armed Reserve (CAR) units.

The review covered a wide range of critical tasks, including the deployment of armed forces, logistics management, fleet maintenance, and assisting the civil police in maintaining law and order, securing vital installations, and protecting VIPs.  

The Commissioner visited various specialized units, including the City Security Wing, Home Guards, Mounted Units, and Dog Squads.

During an in-depth evaluation of the City Security Wing (CSW), which is responsible for safeguarding VIPs, Commissioner Anand underscored the paramount importance of vigilance. He stressed that the security of the VIPs must be the CSW’s topmost priority. He encouraged the CSW personnel to uphold the highest standards of health and discipline in their roles. Additionally, he assured them that efforts would be made to enhance their working conditions.

The inspection also extended to the Mounted Police unit, where Commissioner Anand personally inquired about the well-being of the 46 horses and 26 dogs. He instructed the handlers, unit staff officers, and the veterinary doctor to ensure that the animals were in peak condition and receiving proper care.

He also meticulously inspected the dog kennels and horse stables, seeking details about their diets, maintenance routines, exercise regimens, and training schedules.

Subsequently, Commissioner Anand visited the office of the Home Guards Commandant and reviewed their records. He praised the Home Guards for their pivotal role in supporting the police force during various events and emergencies, including managing traffic.

In a significant development, Commissioner Anand inaugurated a new unit canteen within the City Security Wing premises. This facility now offers a convenient and comfortable dining option for CSW personnel who work tirelessly around the clock.

During the visit, M. Srinivasalu, IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police (CAR & Training), Alex, Deputy Commissioner of Police (CSW), and other officers provided Commissioner Anand with updates on ongoing activities, infrastructure projects within the CAR, and their current needs and shortages.
