Hyderabad CP Sajjanar Underscores CAR’s Crucial Role
- Ceremonial Parade highlights discipline, skills, welfare focus
- Armed Reserve personnel urged to prioritise health, training
Hyderabad, Nov. 8: Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar, said the Armed Reserve wing plays a crucial role in maintaining law and order and advised every police employee to maintain discipline and perform duties responsibly.
Sajjanar made these remarks at a Ceremonial Parade held at the City Armed Reserve (CAR) Headquarters in Petlaburj on Saturday, where he received the guard of honour from the personnel.
Commissioner Sajjanar praised the City Armed Reserve for its decades-long service and strong reputation. He appreciated the commitment and dedication shown by the personnel.
He noted that police work is different from other jobs and demands high levels of responsibility and readiness. He also advised personnel to prioritise their families and protect their health. He urged them to avoid bad habits and make daily exercise mandatory.
The Commissioner of Police asked all staff not to waste time and to acquire new skills. He said they should embrace new trends that are emerging in the Police Department due to professional requirements.
Sajjanar stressed continuous learning and training as key to effective policing and public trust.
A total of 1,044 CAR personnel performed the parade. Staff from several units took part, including the City Security Guard, Swift Women Action Team, Quick Reaction Team, City Rapid Action Force, and others.
Following the parade, the Commissioner interacted directly with AR personnel. He asked about their performance and the challenges they face on the ground. When some issues were brought to his attention, he assured quick steps to resolve them.
Later, CP Sajjanar visited the CAR Headquarters premises. He inspected the crèche, the Arms and Ammunition Store Room, the Arms Workshop, and the Barracks.
Sajjanar then held a review meeting with the officers at the Headquarters and advised them to strive for better policing through discipline, welfare measures, skills, and preparedness.
The event was attended by CAR Headquarters DCP Smt. Rakshita Krishnamurthy, and Additional DCPs N. Bhaskar, B. Kishtaiah, T. Karunakar, D. Sanjeeva Reddy, and others.
