Hyderabad Man Arrested With 21 KG Poppy Husk Worth Rs. 3.5 Lakh

Hyderabad, Aug 5 (Maxim News): In a joint operation, the Hyderabad Narcotic enforcement Wing (H-NEW) and Amberpet police arrested a drug peddler and seized 21 kg of poppy husk, drug processing equipment, and a motorcycle, altogether worth Rs. 3.5 lakh on Tuesday.

The suspect, Mangala Ram (44), a steel welder from Chengicherla and native of Rajasthan, was allegedly selling poppy husk in Hyderabad after smuggling it from his hometown.

Police said he turned to peddling to fund his addiction and earn easy money. The suspect and the seized material were handed over to the Amberpet police for further action. (Maxim News)
