Hyderabad New Year Restrictions 2026 have been announced by the city police to ensure public safety and maintain law and order during New Year celebrations. The Hyderabad Police said the strict rules will apply across the city, especially at pubs, bars, hotels, and party venues. The restrictions will come into force from midnight on December 31 and remain effective until the early hours of January 1.

According to the police, the measures aim to prevent disturbances and ensure a safe environment for citizens welcoming the New Year. Therefore, organisers of New Year events have been directed to follow all instructions without exception. Police officials said enforcement teams will be on high alert throughout the night.

Under the Hyderabad New Year Restrictions 2026, all pubs, bars, and hotels hosting New Year events must install functional CCTV cameras. They must also deploy adequate security personnel at their premises. Meanwhile, organisers have been told to strictly ban the entry of minors into such venues. Police warned that any violation of age restrictions would lead to severe action against the management concerned.

The police have also imposed a ban on DJs and on obscene or indecent dance performances. In addition, the use of loudspeakers after 10 pm has been prohibited. Authorities said they will strictly enforce noise pollution rules. Organisers will be held directly responsible for any violation of these norms. Police also cautioned against alcohol related violations, including serving intoxicated individuals or allowing unruly behaviour at venues.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner C P Sajjanar warned of strict action against drunk driving during the celebrations. He said special police teams will be deployed across the city to conduct breathalyser tests. Offenders will face cases, hefty fines, and even imprisonment under relevant sections of the law. Therefore, police urged people to avoid driving under the influence of alcohol.

Importantly, officials said all New Year events must end by 12.30 am. No extensions or exemptions will be allowed under any circumstances. Later in the night, police will intensify patrolling and surveillance in public places, party zones, and major traffic corridors.

Meanwhile, the police appealed to citizens to celebrate responsibly and cooperate with police personnel. They said public support is crucial to ensure a safe and peaceful New Year celebration in Hyderabad.
