Hyderabad Police Busted Drug Racket, Five Arrested

The Hyderabad drug racket arrests have led to the detention of five persons and the seizure of narcotics and other property worth Rs 70 lakh. The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing, along with Langer Houz police, carried out the operation on Saturday. The action focused on the sale and supply of drugs within the city. Officials said the seizures included hashish oil and ganja.

According to the police, the arrested persons are Vykunta Rao, Paul Khila, Krishna Jalla, Balaji and Chaitanya. Investigators identified Vykunta Rao as the main suspect in the case. They stated that he played a central role in procuring and distributing the drugs. Meanwhile, the other accused assisted him at different stages of the operation.

Police said Vykunta Rao, with the help of Paul Khila and Krishna Jalla, procured drugs such as hashish oil and ganja from Odisha. After the consignments reached Hyderabad, the operation moved to the next stage. Then, with the assistance of Balaji and Chaitanya, the drugs were delivered to local consumers. Officials stated that the accused earned profits through illegal sales.

The Hyderabad drug racket arrests came after sustained surveillance and coordinated action by the enforcement teams. The joint effort between the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing and Langer Houz police helped trace the supply route and identify those involved. Therefore, officers were able to act once the drugs entered the city.

DCP Task Force and HNEW, Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath, said the accused were involved in the sale and supply of drugs. He also stated that the police seized hashish oil, ganja and other property during the operation. Later, the accused were taken into custody for further investigation. Meanwhile, officials are continuing inquiries to trace possible links connected to the racket.

Police have not disclosed further details beyond the arrests and seizures. However, the case highlights continued efforts by enforcement agencies to curb drug trafficking in Hyderabad. Investigations remain ongoing.
