Hyderabad Police Commissioner Suspends Bowenpally PS Constable
Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand dismissed a constable, Akash Bhatt, posted at Bowenpally PS following a departmental inquiry.
On 15th of this month, while patrolling, the constable spotted G.Praveen kumar and his female friend near Bowenpally Dairy farm and accosted them when they were in conversation. The PC abused Praveen kumar, and demanded money from them. He initially collected Rs 15,000 from the victim and set them free after making a note of their phone numbers.
Later Akash Bhatt continued to harass the victims over phone and demanded more money and again extorted Rs 15,000. Upon receiving the complaint from the victims, SHO Bowenpally registered a case against the constable and arrested him.
He was dismissed from service with immediate effect as his act amounts to moral turpitude in a disciplined force.
