Further, Sajjanar said every police station in Hyderabad now has modern drug detection kits. He directed officers to conduct tests on suspicious persons moving at night, especially youth.

Sajjanar praised the state government for setting up 35 de addiction centres across Telangana. He said the initiative could become a national model. Moreover, he noted that few states have launched treatment centres on such a scale.

Sajjanar warned that police would continue rehabilitation for users while taking strict legal action against drug peddlers. He said repeat offenders would face severe punishment under the law.

He also praised the H New wing for its role in controlling narcotics in the city. Furthermore, he appealed to citizens and voluntary groups to cooperate with police in the fight against drugs.
