Hyderabad Police Issues Public Advisory Ahead Of Christmas And New Year
Hyderabad, Dec 20 (Maxim News): In view of the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays from 24th December onwards, during which many families may travel out of station, DCP South Zone Kiran Khare, IPS, has advised the public to take the following precautionary measures to prevent house thefts.
Precautionary Measures for the Public:
- 1. Ensure all doors, windows, and grills are properly locked before leaving the house.
- 2. Do not leave valuables or large amounts of cash inside the house unnecessarily.
- 3. Inform trustworthy neighbours, relatives, or friends about your absence and request them to keep a watch on the house.
- 4. Avoid sharing travel plans or holiday details on social media platforms, as it may alert anti-social elements.
- 5. Ensure proper lighting outside the house during night hours.
- 6. Install and activate CCTV cameras or alarm systems, wherever available, and ensure they are functional.
- 7. If tenants or servants are employed, verify their credentials and inform the local police station if required.
Police Arrangements:
- 1. Hyderabad City Police has strengthened night patrolling, vehicle checking, and surveillance across South Zone.
- 2. Special watch is being maintained on vacant houses, residential colonies, and vulnerable localities.
- 3. Beat officers have been instructed to conduct regular checks and interactions with residents.
DCP South Zone has appealed to the public to immediately inform the nearest police station or dial 100 in case of any suspicious activity. Public cooperation is essential to ensure a safe and secure South Zone during the holiday season. (Maxim News)
