Hyderabad Rains: Osman Sagar’s gates opened again

Hyderabad. July 23: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) opened two more Osman Sagar gates up to three feet on Friday due to the city and surrounding areas receiving heavy rains on Friday.

Presently four gates of the reservoir are open upto three feet.

2,000 cusecs of outflow were recorded, and the reservoir’s water level was measured at 1,786.65 feet compared to the FTL of 1,790 feet. 1, 248 cubic seconds went out.

In the meantime, at Himayat Sagar, the water level was measured at 1,760.65 feet compared to the FTL of 1,763.50 feet, and the inflow and outflow were both recorded at 500 cusecs. The reservoir’s two gates are left open.

As the water level has passed the FTL, officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation are also keeping an eye on Hussain Sagar.

In contrast to the FTL of 513.41 m, the water level in the Hussain Sagar was measured at 513.43 m. The lake’s greatest water level is 514.75 metres.
