Hyderabad, Nov.28 (Maxim News): Society to Save Rocks (SSR) and Greater Hyderabad Adventure Club (GHAC) are organizing Hyderabad Rockathon 2019 on December 1 at the picturesque Fakhruddingutta near Gachibowli. The annual eco-adventure event was started with the intention of spreading awareness among the twin cities’ dwellers about the 2500 million years old fascinating granite rocks right here in our midst.
Addressing mediapersons here today, Frauke Quader, Secretary, Society to Save Rocks, said, “The Rockathon 2019 will help bring about more awareness among citizens of Hyderabad about the beautiful hill and about the precious natural rock heritage we need to cherish and protect”. Quader said every year the Rockathon has drawn a few hundred enthusiastic twin city dwellers from all age groups. Some are keen to rappel, zip-line, bicycle through the rocks or just walk on rocks, while others make it a family day out filled with fun and frolic. Teaming up with the GHAC, the professional adventure sports group, Rockathon 2019 is all geared to attract the fitness freaks, the adrenaline junkies and lovers of nature.
