Hyderabad To Be A World Class City: Minister KTR
Hyderabad, Oct.13 (Maxim News): TRS Working President KT Rama Rao today said that they would transform the state Capital into a world class city and added that Hyderabad was going fast towards achieving its target under the leadership of the chief minister of the state KCR. He made these remarks while speaking on the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) amendment Bill in the state assembly.
Speaking on the occasion he said that the city has a great rich culture and history. He said that the seeds for the formation of Hyderabad was laid 429 years back. He said that the Hyderabad municipality was first formed in the year 1869 and added that Chaderghat municipality was formed in the year 1933 and Jubilee Hills municipality in the year 1937. Rao said that the Secunderabad municipality was formed in the year 1945 and added that Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) in the year 1955. He said that their party led state government reserved 50 percent seats in the corporation by issuing a GO in the year 2015.
He said that the Party had also ensured the victory of 79 women Corporators in the corporation limits. Talking about greenery , He said that the efforts made by the state government had led to the increase of the green cover by 5 to 6 percent. He said that they had also made an amendment in the Act to allocate ten percent of the total budget to green cover from the existing 2.5 percent. (Maxim News)
