Hyderabad: Two Chain Snatchers Arrested in Old City

The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team, Hyderabad and with the assistance of Abids police apprehended two chain snatchers who committed offences at Abidsand Balapur police station limits and recovered 45 Grams gold chains and one two wheeler.

Details of accused Persons:-

1)Mohd.Amjad S/oMd.Ishaq(Late) Age: 29 yrs,Occ: Elevator Service R/o Near Nice hotel, Bandlaguda, Hyderabad.

2)Mohd.Shoaib S/o Md.Abbu Age:29yrs, Occ:Air Conditioner – Mechanic R/O:Beside Shah Ghouse hotel,Shah-Ali-Banda ,Hyderabad.

Brief facts:-

The accusedMohd.Amjadis a resident of Bandlaguda, Hyderabad. He completed his graduation and worked in a private office. Due to bad friendship he addicted to bad habits i.e. consume liquor, smoking Ganja and consume Nitrovit Tablets. He has been working as a lift mechanic since four years to support his family.In the year 2019 he went to jail in a Dacoity casefrom Shahalibanda Police Station. After completion of remand period he released from jail in the month of June-2019. Since then he did not join in any work and facing lot of financial crises. In this juncture, Amjad met one of his old friend by name Mohd.Shoaib,who went to jail in bodily offence from Mailardevpally police station and hatched a plan to commit chain snatchings.

In pursuit of their plan, on 30.05.2020 in midnight, the both accused went to Abids area on their Honda Shinemotor cycle by covering masks to their faces. While they are moving in the Abids area, when they reached Old ACB Office, MJ Market, they noticed (03) persons are going on a motor cycle; out of them one lady sat on back side of the seat. Taking the advantage, both the accused followed and snatched Gold Mangalasutram forcibly from the lady neck and sped away from the spot.

Further, on 01.06.2020 Md. Amjad hatched a plan to commit snatching without his friend Shoaib. For that, in the morning hours Amjad alone proceeded to Balapur area, when he reached near ShivajiChowk, Balapur, he found one bike with lady pillion rider which is proceeding towards RCI. Taking advantage, the accused followed, reached very closeand forcibly snatched Gold Mangalasutram from the lady neck and sped away from the spot.

For the above said offences, cases have been registered at Abids of Hyderabad Police Commissionerate and Balapur Police Station of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate and investigation is under progress.

Though, the offenders took every precaution to hide their identity. South Zone Task Forcemade all efforts to nab the offenders. Basing on the clues the South Zone Task Force Team with the assistance of Abids police apprehended above said offendersand recoveredthe stolen gold chainswg about 45 gramspertaining to above said cases and also seized Honda Shinevehicle from the possession of the accused.

The apprehended accused and seized material handed over to SHO Abids police station for taking necessary action.
