Restart Temples with Lockdown Norms: Indrakaran Reddy

Hyderabad, June 6 (Maxim News): Endowment Minister, A Indrakaran Reddy today said that all temples will be reopened for public darshan in Telangana from June 8.

Temples being sanitized and devotees will be screened for darshan he said. There will be no distribution of theertha prasadams, shatagopam blessings and regular rituals now he said.

As per directions of Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao, we have decided to reopen all the temples amid lockdown norms he maintained.

He stated that the people have to follow corona lockdown norms to get darshan in the temples. Wearing masks, sanitising hands and maintaining distance are key factors to be followed, the minister asserted. There will be no special pujas as the devotees can have general darshan of the gods and deities.

On Regular Bonalu festivities, we have yet take a decision the minister said. The Chief Minister will hold a meeting and decide on the Bonalu festival he added. (Maxim News)
