Hyderabad Woman Murder Case | Hyderabad, Oct 12 (Maxim News) : Chaderghat police have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the murder of a woman who worked as a saleswoman at a women’s clothing store in Azampura, Hyderabad.
The victim, identified as Tahera Banu, was attacked with a knife on October 9 and later died while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital, said K.B.Murari, Inspector of Police, P.S. Chaderghat.

According to a press note issued by Chaderghat police, the incident occurred at around 9:30 pm on October 9, 2026, at Manha Luxurious Women’s Store in Azampura. The accused, identified as Mohd. Ibrahim had previously worked at the same shop.
Police said Tahera Banu sustained severe injuries in the attack and was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for treatment. However, she succumbed to her injuries at around 10:30 pm that night.
Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s husband, Md. Khaja Moin Uddin, also known as Annu, Chaderghat police registered Crime No. 392/2026 under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with murder.
Hyderabad woman murder case | Police Cite Personal Grudge as Alleged Motive
During the investigation, police identified the accused as Mohd. Ibrahim, son of Mohd. Saleem, aged 35, who works as a salesman and resides in Hyderabad. He was apprehended and arrested on October 11, 2026, in connection with the case.

According to the police press note, the alleged motive stemmed from a personal relationship between the accused and the deceased. Investigators stated that the two had reportedly been involved in a relationship for several years. Over the preceding six months, Tahera Banu had allegedly begun avoiding the accused and was no longer responding to his advances.
Police said the accused developed resentment over this, which allegedly led to the attack. The stated motive forms part of the police account of the case, while the investigation remains ongoing.
Following his arrest, Ibrahim is being produced before the court in accordance with legal procedure. Chaderghat police said further investigation is in progress.
