Subsequently, his parents also joined him.

“His wife Afsha, a doctor, left for London only 25 days ago. She is pregnant and cannot come back to India as rules do not permit her travel,” Qureshi said.  Nadeem’s wife, who is in a state of shock, is undergoing psychological counselling.

“They (Nadeem’s family) cannot bring the body to Hyderabad for last rites. In all probability, the burial would take place in London,” Qureshi said, adding he and a few other relatives were planning to leave for the UK to attend the last rites.

He said he had mailed letters to Union Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and Telangana Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, requesting their help in the relatives travelling to London.  Apparently, Nadeem had got a permanent residency and was awaiting UK citizenship in the next few months as the process was nearly completed.
