HYDRAA Secures 9 Acres of Government Land in Shamshabad

Hyderabad, April 22 (Maxim News) : HYDRAA on Wednesday protected 9.05 acres of government land in Shamshabad mandal of Rangareddy district. Officials estimated the land value at more than Rs 90 crore.

Authorities fenced the land and installed official boards after removing alleged encroachments.

The action took place in the presence of revenue and municipal officials.

According to revenue records, 176.05 acres in Survey No. 626/2 belong to the government. Out of this, the government allotted 166 acres to the Forest Development Corporation. The remaining 9.05 acres continued as government land.

However, some individuals reportedly claimed ownership and described the parcel as former CS 14 acres land linked to the Nizam era. Because of this dispute, the matter is pending before the High Court.

The court earlier ordered status quo and directed all parties not to change the nature of the land or take up any construction until final orders.

Despite the court order, complaints reached officials through Prajavani. Complainants alleged that a person identified as Tajammul Moinuddin Khan levelled the land and converted it into a layout.

Field inspections later found that the 9.05 acres had been levelled and enclosed with precast walls. Officials also learned that some plots were allegedly sold.

Revenue officials issued notices under the Land Encroachment Act, 1905, and asked the occupant to remove the encroachments. However, officials said the directions were ignored.

Following complaints from revenue and municipal authorities, HYDRA launched an operation on Wednesday. Teams removed the encroachments, secured the site with fencing and placed boards identifying it as government land.

Officials said the action aims to protect public property and prevent further illegal activity on the disputed land. (Maxim News)
