I Will Remain Telangana CM Till 2034: Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad, May 19: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday said he would continue as Chief Minister till 2034 and work towards making Congress leader Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister of India.

Speaking at a public interaction, Revanth Reddy said his primary goal is to strengthen the Congress party nationally and help Rahul Gandhi become the Prime Ministerial candidate of the INDIA alliance in the next general elections.

The Chief Minister stated that Rahul Gandhi has no personal ambition for the Prime Minister’s post and is focused on bringing the Congress back to power at the national level.

Revanth Reddy said the Congress would first officially announce Rahul Gandhi as its Prime Ministerial candidate and later seek support from alliance partners.

He expressed confidence that Telangana would contribute nearly 10 percent of India’s GDP under his leadership. He added that his focus would remain on Telangana’s development till 2034.

The Chief Minister also said he would step aside after 2034 to give opportunities to a younger generation of leaders. He stated that after completing his role in Telangana politics, he would contribute to national service using his administrative experience.

Revanth Reddy further said he shares a strong rapport with Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and enjoys the confidence of the Gandhi family.

Recalling his political journey, he said he had worked in the Telugu Desam Party for nearly a decade before joining Congress. He added that he personally informed N Chandrababu Naidu before changing parties and said the two leaders still maintain cordial relations.
