Sources indicate that the Chief Minister’s Office has already begun internal discussions and reviews in this direction.

The main aim is to reshuffle officers who have been working in the same posts for more than two years and to appoint full time officers in places where in charge arrangements continue.

Therefore, the focus is on administrative efficiency and better coordination at all levels.

The Congress government has completed two years in office as of December 7.

During this period, officials in the Chief Minister’s Office collected detailed inputs on the performance of IAS officers.

The review reportedly covered coordination with ministers, file clearance, resolution of departmental issues, and involvement in implementing government schemes.

Meanwhile, intelligence inputs suggested that the performance of a majority of officers was not satisfactory.

Based on these reports, the government is said to be preparing a detailed transfer exercise.

Sources also indicate that there were instances where some IAS officers allegedly ignored even the Chief Minister’s instructions.

Because of this, discussions are underway on shifting such officers to less important postings. At the same time, reports on the performance of several commissioners and district collectors were also sought.

Officials who failed to deliver as expected may be transferred as part of the reshuffle. Therefore, the coming transfers are expected to be extensive and performance driven.

Complaints from ministers and internal coordination issues

There have also been complaints that some IAS officers did not take ministers’ instructions seriously.

According to sources, a few officers reportedly agreed during meetings but later acted on their own decisions.

This issue came to the Chief Minister’s notice after some ministers jointly raised complaints. As a result, officers who do not maintain coordination with ministers may be removed from their present posts in the current round of IAS transfers Telangana.

Meanwhile, lobbying for key posts has intensified. Some IAS officers are reportedly trying for preferred departments and have been lobbying for some time.

In particular, the posts of Principal Secretary of the Municipal Administration department and Singareni CMD are said to be in high demand.

Sources say that IAS officers from northern states are making strong efforts for these positions. There is also talk that a few officers have already visited Delhi and sought support from senior Congress leaders.

Officials believe that even a one year tenure in these posts would be sufficient. As a result, competition has increased sharply.

Overall, the state government appears determined to reset the administrative structure after the local body elections. The upcoming IAS transfers Telangana are expected to reflect the government’s emphasis on accountability, coordination, and delivery.
