Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has cleared the way for the Ibrahimpatnam Municipal Chairman election in Rangareddy district. The court stated that the final decision on the election rests with the Returning Officer. Therefore, the process can move ahead as per rules.

The court also directed the district collector and police not to put any pressure on Akula Yadagiri, who won as the 19th ward councilor. It stressed that he must be allowed to act on his own. This direction came amid concerns raised before the court.

With this clarification, the hurdle in the Ibrahimpatnam Municipal Chairman election has been removed. Consequently, the election process is expected to proceed under the supervision of the Returning Officer.
