Illegal IVF Racket Busted: Indian Sperm Tech Clinic Raided in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, July 27 (Maxim News): A major illegal surrogacy and IVF racket has come to light in Hyderabad after police exposed the unauthorized activities of Indian Sperm Tech, a fertility clinic operating without medical clearance. Acting on credible information, authorities arrested Pankaj Soni, the clinic’s manager, for illegally collecting and transporting sperm and eggs for surrogacy procedures.

This is the second major surrogacy-related bust in the city in recent weeks, raising serious concerns about unregulated fertility practices in Hyderabad.

Sperm Collected Illegally, Sent to Gujarat and MP

According to police reports, Indian Sperm Tech was operating without official authorization, collecting sperm from donors in Hyderabad and transporting it to clinics in Ahmedabad (Gujarat) and Madhya Pradesh. The clinic was reportedly paying Rs. 4,000 per donor, violating medical and ethical guidelines.

So far, seven individuals have been arrested in connection with the case, including:

  • Srinu
  • Jitender
  • Shiva
  • Manikantha
  • Boro

Authorities revealed that the racket involved illegal egg harvesting and sperm trading, raising serious public health and ethical concerns.

This incident comes on the heels of another illegal surrogacy and baby-selling ring busted recently by the North Zone Task Force and Gopalapuram Police, suggesting a wider network of unauthorized IVF clinics operating across the city.

Police have launched a broader investigation into Indian Sperm Tech’s links with other fertility centers across India. Medical and Health Department officials are now reviewing licenses and operational permissions of similar clinics to crack down on illegal IVF practices.
